The Intel Pentium 4 processor features HT (Hyper-Threading) technology in order to work more efficiently and handle many programs at once. The customer has the choice of three varieties of this processor: the 630 series (3.00GHz, 2MB cache), the 640 series (3.20GHz, 2MB cache), and the 650 series (3.40GHz, 2MB cache). The desktop also has 512MB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 4GB, ensuring reliable performance. The Dimension 5150 includes several programs preinstalled (including Corel WordPerfect 12), as well as some programs that can be optionally preinstalled for the user (such as Microsoft Office 2003). When compared to another desktop PC by Dell, the Dimension 1100, the Dimension 5150 has several advantages, including a faster processor, and a far larger capacity for RAM.
