Erik: #dell_inspiron_531 Annoying. Dell dropped the AMD-based Inspiron 531 in favor of the more expensive 530 Intel-based systems. Probably still a good buy, but I liked having that choice..not to mention the $avings. Feb 28, 08

Special K
Special K: #dell_inspiron_531 I just ordered this computer and i agree the main gripe is the mandatory Vista. I hope i don't make those Mac commercials come true and revert back to my trusty XP!! However, I am very pumped to get this rockin' comp. Much better than my current Commodore 64 I hope! Haha. Nov 21, 07

Erik: #dell_inspiron_531 My brother just order one these last night from dell.ca on my recommendation. It looks like a very good deal, and is much cheaper than if you were to build the computer from components. I think the AMD version hits the sweet spot of price and performance. He got the upgraded 20" Dell monitor with 2 ms response time. My only gripe is the mandatory inclusion of Vista. Nov 20, 07
