The Dell OptiPlex 745 is an entry-level desktop PC, initially released in 2006. This machine is marketed with business users in mind, given its high degree of customizability. The OptiPlex 745 can be purchased in a variety of sizes ranging from the 10.3” high “ultra small form factor” model to the 16.1” tall “mini-tower” version.

Processor choices include the Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium D, Pentium 4 and Celeron D. All of these processors offer dual core performance with speeds up to 3.6GHz. DDR2 memory comes standard, with four slots capable of housing up to 4GB. Graphics options include the integrated Intel GMA chipset or the more performance oriented Radeon series. All variations of the OptiPlex 745 are Energy Star compliant, and Dell claims the latest OptiPlex computers use up to 70% less power than previous models.
