Dell Studio Hybrid PC

Released July, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Stylish, customizable appearance. Large number of digital outputs. Competitively priced and outfitted compared to aging competition.

The Cons:Poor price:performance ratio, an Atom can do most of what is required of such a small PC. Not easily upgradeable once purchased. Uses the slow and aging Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.

Introduced in late July 2008, the Studio Hybrid PC is a miniature PC from Dell aimed at individuals with limited space or those looking for a stylish alternative to a full tower PC. While being slightly larger than new Atom-based desktop PCs, the Studio Hybrid PC contains much more powerful components and connectivity options similar to that of a full system including dual core Pentiums or Core 2 Duos, up to 4GB of RAM, a large 320GB SATA hard disk, a slot loaded DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, 5 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and DVI video connections and a digital S/PDIF audio connection.
