Gateway DX4320-45
$900.00
Released September, 2010
The Pros:Remarkably fast performance, everything launches and runs quickly. More USB ports than most will ever have a use for. Very little pre-loaded software to contend with.
The Cons:Only comes with a 300W power supply, severely limits future upgrades. No internal WiFi, needs to be added on later. Doesn't come with documentation and there isn't any online beyond Getting Started.
Though it may seem like a steep increase, approx. $150 difference in price can give you a whole lot more differences in features, as in the case of the Gateway DX4320-39 and DX4320-45. The DX4320-45 is the more advanced of the pair, boasting a six-core 2.6GHz AMD Phenom II X6 processor, an ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics card, and 1TB of eco-friendly hard drive space.

Using Turbo Core technology, the AMD Phenom processor can actually increase the limits of its speed, and adapt to using one to six cores depending on the task at hand, from casual gaming to demanding 3D content creation software. Sleek and seamless 3D graphics are handled by the ATI Radeon graphics card working in tandem with 8GB of DDR3 memory, and the variable-RPM nature of the hard drive ensures that power is dispensed only as required, saving energy while buyers fill up the 1TB of space. 10 USB ports, 1 HDMI port, a Multi-in-1 Digital Media Reader, a Digital Device Holder and a DVD DL Writer make this computer ideally suited for the multimedia multitasker willing to spend a little more buck for a lot more bang. Included with DX4320-45 is a copy of Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium.
