Gateway DX4831-05

$800.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Nice looking case, impressive enough for younger users. Very fast response, everything launches and runs quickly. Very quiet operation, only has a few small fants.

The Cons:Button to open the optical drive seems flimsy. HDMI will only work on TVs that use HDCP, older TVs won't work. Limited capacity for expansion, not much space for larger cards and power supply is minimal.

The DX4831-05 is a higher-end consumer desktop from Gateway. The system is built around an overclocked quad-core processor, part of the Intel Core i5 line, running at 3.46 GHz. It features 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1TB storage capacity but lacks the Blu-ray drive available in the DX4831-03.
