Gateway FX6840-03e
$1,100.00
Released June, 2010
The Pros:Enough graphics processing power to handle games at good quality. Extremely large hard drive, enough to satisfy power users. Plenty of RAM, can multitask with several large files.
The Cons:Won't update Windows 7 properly before the user manually updates the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver. Hard disk is a little slow, can cause a slight bottleneck with gaming. BIOS doesn't allow for much overclocking or system tweaking.
The Gateway FX6840-03e is a high-end desktop similar to the Gateway FX6840-01e. The sole, yet significant, improvement that the FX6840-03e boasts over the FX6840-01e is its ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics processor (the FX6840-01e sports a 5570).
