Gateway QX2800

Released December, 2009

Product Shot 1The Gateway QX2800 is a dual-core NetTop built as a competitor to Acer’s Aspire Revo, as well as the upcoming Revo 3600. It sports a dual-core Intel Atom 330 (1.6GHz); 2GB of base DRAM; and an nVIDIA ION chipset with a GeForce 9400M GPU that supports DirectX 10 API and 1080p HDMI.

Unlike Acer’s models, the QX2800 hosts a larger 500GB hard drive. Other than that, the Gateway is nearly a duplicate of its competitor, as it also includes 802.11b/g/n connectivity, a multi-card reader, and an HDMI output. One notably large difference is that the Revo 3600 will be based off the new Windows 7 operating system; whereas the QX2800 will rely on the already-market-friendly Windows Vista Premium (Service Pack 1).
