HP Pavilion Elite m9600t
$950.00
Released March, 2009
The Pros:Powerful components - no matter which configuration you go with. Highly configurable. Not gaudy looking like comparable systems from other system manufacturers.
The Cons:Takes the fun out of building your own. Expensive. More power than is required by the majority of consumers - including most gamers.

Enhanced performance is provided by several mega triple-channel DDR3 800MHz SDRAM options and up to 1TB of space on a RAID-enabled SATA hard drive. When used for entertainment and media applications, the pre-installed software gives the ability to compress large video files, stream content to any internet-connected media player (including a cell phone or PDA) and perform backups to an online server. An optional tuner and personal video recorder will turn your PC into a TV, and there is an optional Blu-ray DVD writer/player which would be able to fully capitalize on the integrated Intel High Definition Audio with up to 7.1 surround sound.
