Product Shot 1The Mvix HDHome S4 is a mid-range to high-end HTPC with some striking similarities to its younger brother, the Mvix HDHome S2. Like the S2, the S4 is Bluetooth 2.0 compatible, has Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, a Blu-Ray optical drive and an 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless card.

Otherwise, the S4 holds a number of improvements over the S2, like: an AMD Athlon 4200+ (2.2GHz) Dual Core processor, a 500GB SATA hard drive, 4GB of DDR2 RAM and an ATI 3200HD GPU. Also, the HDHome S4's TV Tuner is optional rather than standard.

Its more powerful AMD Athlon 4200+ dual core processor gives the S4 a bit more kick than the S2 but still doesn't make it particularly powerful. Its variety of ports and inputs make the HDHome S4 compatible with nearly any home theatre device you're likely to have from 7.1 channel surround sound support to HDMI high definition video compatibility, thanks to the S4's ATI 3200HD graphics processor. Its 500GB hard drive makes for twice the storage that the S2 has, allowing for up to 4TB (1X4TB). Additionally, the HDHome S4 comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, allowing for a very simple setup process.
