Sony VAIO VGC-JS190

$1,450.00 Released September, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Can play the latest in optical media. More powerful processor than the basic model (is much better for content creation, decoding high definition content, etc...). Saves space and looks neater than a regular PC.

The Cons:Some bloatware. Doesn't feature the same quality Apple design. Can't display full 1080p due to lower resolution (the main reason for buying this enhanced Blu-ray model).

Introduced in early September 2008 at CEDIA, the VGC-JS190 is an all-in-one computer system from Sony. Aimed at regular consumers, the VGC-JS190 includes all the required features for basic computing and watching high definition media.

Featuring an all-in-screen design much like the iMac, both models feature 20.1" screens with 1680 x 1050 resolution, 4GB of DDR2 800MHz ram, and 500GB 7200rpm drives. The more advanced model model in the series, the VGC-JS190 utilizes a newer Intel E8400 processor and a Blu-ray drive. Like the less advanced model, it feature the recent Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD, which can decode high definition content just fine - but don't expect to be playing any games on it. The VGC-JS190 is available in black or silver for $1449.99. See the Sony VAIO JS Series for more information.
